Water Well Project

Water Well Project

 Ramadan the month of giving

Water is mentioned 63 times in the Quran, and every Prophet in our holy book has a story that relates closely to water

Saad Ibn Ubadah asked the Prophet (PBUH) what charity is best, to which the Prophet replied, “A drink of water.”

What is more beautiful then to be able to give a community the gift of water that’s clean and readily available?

Aid4Action has funded a range of Water Well projects, ranging from simple Hand Pumps costing a few pounds to sophisticated Solar Powered Water Systems costing thousands that can provide clean drinking water to whole villages.

For example, the people of Daraban live in a remote area in Pakistan and had no access to direct clean water, having to travel far distances daily.

The water is used to drink, to perform wudu, bathe in and other daily necessities. The water they used to give to their families was not suitable for human consumption and was used by animals as well.

The well and water supply system constructed by Aid4Action cost £7000 due to the distance and the amount of work that needed to be carried out.

This will be Sadaqah jaariya (on-going charity) for all those who contributed.
